Dung Beetles on War Horse NWR

One of the best recyclers on earth is a dung beetle. Dung beetles recycle animal dung such as cow manure by burying it. Buried dung helps loosen and nourish the soil. Here are pictures of “rolling” type dung beetles from War Horse National Wildlife Refuge in central Montana.
