Technical details
The digital image was rotated until level (arbitrary) and the borders were cropped. Subsequent image rotation, resizing, alignment, and animated gif generation done with StereoPhotoMaker, a freeware program by Masuji Suto & David Sykes.

The Toulouse public library in Toulouse, France offers a multitude of late 19th/early 20th century images in the Flickr commons. The original image of Courses et bicyclettes, Luchon is from the Eugene Trutat photos of Luchon, France. The circa 1890-1900 image has no known restrictions on publication.
