The Immaculate Heart of Mary. Simeon prophesied that Jesus would be like a sword through Mary's soul in Luke 2:35. Images of a sword through Mary's heart refer to her sorrow at the death of Jesus, as seen in the Pieta and Mater Dolorosa iconography.

I have a friend that likes hearts with wings. I thought of her when making this.
I tried to trace the hand drawn image in Photoshop. I didn't turn out the way I wanted. I want a graphic tablet.
