Farmers work on a terraced farmland community partnership. Terrace farming promotes conservation techniques that increase productivity of key crops.
Ensuring renewed attention to agricultural development is important. We know that better farming is the most important solution for overcoming hunger and poverty, and that the investments made by partners such as the Rwandese government and the World Bank can have an incredible impact in a relatively short period of time. (Rwanda, 2010)

Soldiers tour Edgewood Chemical Biological Center

The U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command is hosting a two-week tour of facilities for 13 Soldiers recently back from service in Afghanistan. The tour gives Soldiers a broad perspective of what is being done to empower, unburden and protect the Warfighter and is an opportunity for scientists and engineers to gather vital feedback from subject matter experts.
The Soldiers toured Edgewood Chemical Biological Center's Advanced Design and Manufacturing facilities at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., Nov. 12.
