...Prints in the Sand...

Image by ĐāżŦ {mostly absent}
We went to Bamburgh Castle today... I took probably 4 photographs on the beach (2 are above) before the heavens opened and we got completely drenched! We ran and ducked into a tea room where I had the biggest cream tea I think I've ever had. Two massive scones and lashings of whipped cream! The rain continued so we decided to call it a day and head home... At this point the heavens cleared and the Sun came out... Oh to be in England etc...
Anyway - The whole point of the above photo is that those 'prints' won't be there tomorrow... The sea will have washed them away... No one will ever see them again... I'm feeling a bit like that about Flickr. Not that the photos won't be there, but that I don't appreciate how much work and artistry has gone into the image because it's suddenly replaced with another new piece that catches my eye... I KNOW there are photos on here that I go back and look at again and again, but there's so many that I don't but should do... :o(
P.s. I think I have a *thing* about cream teas...

I have entered this image in the Flickr group Charity Print Auctions:
www.flickr.com/groups/charityprintauctions/ - for the Haiti Earthquake Appeal.

The print that is for auction is 8x8 inches, printed on Fuji Crystal Archive Type II paper by a professional photo lab.

To bid, please comment below with the amount that you would like to bid. If you are not a flickr member please email me your bid and I will transfer it manually to the comments box on your behalf. My email is arutherford@gmail.com.

When the auction closes, the person that has the highest bid, wins the print.

* THIS AUCTION HAS ENDED.

The winning bidder has to pay that amount to the American Red Cross for Haiti Relief and Development or Doctors Without Borders.

When they do this, they MUST make a screen grab of the donation confirmation page and send to me. This way I will know that you have paid and can arrange for the print to be sent to you.

This is a poster I made back in 2009. for an anti-violence campaign, it's about a boy who was beaten to death by a bunch of hooligans in Zagreb in 2008. I was awarded second prize from Croatian Ministry of Science, Education and Sports.
