Conservators and curators took 35 animal mummies to the Animal Medical Center in Manhattan for CT scanning. The instagram shots are photos from the live feed that day and the better shots that follow in the set were uploaded after the day's events.

Edward Hungerford was born on 10 June 1863 in Cahirmoore, Ireland (County Cork), the son of Henry Jones Hungerford and Mary Boone Cowper. Hungerford migrated to Australia around 1882 and became a long-serving member of the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron. He died 24 June 1956 in Newtown, Sydney.

Unlimited Grain - Urban

This is the cover of the new Blurb book: Unlimited Grain - Urban, edited by Frans Peter Verheyen. The cover shot is by Guillaume Baurand (check his Flickr page at www.flickr.com/photos/guillaumebaurand/)

Unlimited Grain is a project run by THIAPS (The International Analogue Photographic Society, www.thiaps.com), a platform for photographers who love the tactile quality of film-based images, as well as enjoy the wet and warm smell of developers and fixative, with a strong belief that "Film is not dead it just smells funny" (check the related Flickr group: www.flickr.com/groups/onfilm/ )

Urban is the second volume of the series and it follows the first one dedicated to Portraits that went "Bestseller" on the Blurb website on March. It is a 120 pages book with a wide variety of analogue photography from large format via 35mm to instant film, all linked by the chosen theme: to explore the city landscape.

THIAPS were so kind to ask me to participate to this project, so that two of my pictures (see first comment) were selected and are now part of the book. I am very proud of it, thank you Frans Peter and best of luck for your project, I am looking forward to the upcoming volumes.

Urban è il secondo volume della serie: il primo è dedicato ai ritratti ed è stato un successo su Blurb che lo ha categorizzato come "Best Seller" in Marzo. È un libro di 120 pagine formato da una ampia varietà di fotografia analogica, dal largo formato ai 35 millimetri passando dalle Polaroid, tutte foto legate dal tema scelto: quello di rappresentare la città ed il suo mondo.

I redattori di THIAPS sono stati così gentili da coinvolgermi nel loro progetto: hanno selezionato due mie foto e mi hanno contattato per inserirle nel libro (vedi il primo commento in basso). Inutile dire che sono molto orgoglioso: voglio ringraziare Frans Peter e fargli un in bocca al lupo per il proseguio del progetto.

Je me suis fait challenger sur Instagram par Penelope McQuade à participer au défi #breakstyler. Elle écrit: «L'idée est de faire une photo qui ne ressemble pas à ce qu'on fait habituellement, qui «casse» notre style. Intéressant de se poser la question "quel est mon style ?" "ais-je un style ?" et "suis-je capable de faire autre chose sans juger cet autre chose qui n'est pas moi ?».

J'me suis questionnée. Beaucoup. D'un coté, je n'avais pas envie de faire une photo de chat et déséquilibrer mon fil (parce que même si j'adore les photos de chats, c'est très loin de ce que je fais...). So. Mon breakstyler est ceci: Faire comme si j'avais la Canon 5D de mon chum. Ne rien ajouter à l'image. Un mini edit dans snapseed. #purity #simplicity #MieuxVautTardQueJamais ;-)
